Casa Adelante- 681 Florida closed construction financing yesterday, and is targeting construction to start the week of Oct. 19, 2020. We are expecting a 22-month-long construction, with an expected completion date of August 2022 for 130 units of family housing and approximately 9,000 square foot space of community-serving space. We are co-developing this site with TNDC.
This site was fought by the community a few years ago against a market-rate development, and successfully got land carved out for 100% affordable housing.
For this project Jabari Herbert serve in an advisory role as a member of the Board with Meda, and voting member of the Community Real Estate Committee.
